Gateway Learning Plan & Resources

The individual learning plan clarifies both the work-based and school-based unit standards of the learner’s Gateway programme, and can be aligned with one of the six Vocational Pathways. Here is an example of a Gateway Learning Plan Template, this can be modified to suit the needs of your students. It is suggested that a learning plan includes the following information as outlined below. Additional details and information can be added.

• learner name, industry name, and employer name
• start date and proposed duration of placement
• learning goals and key tasks required for achievement
• relevant generic and industry-specific unit standards
• assessment arrangements and assessment location if not based at the school
• supervisor name
• coordinator, learner, and employer signatures
