Gateway Handbook
The Gateway programme provides an opportunity for secondary school students to experience different pathway options before they embark on further education and training or employment. All state secondary, state-integrated secondary, and partnership schools/kura hourua with students in year 11 and above are eligible to apply for Gateway funding.
The focus of Gateway is to offer students the opportunities to develop a clear understanding of the knowledge and skills required for future employment.
