Women in Engineering: Past, Present and Future

19 July, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

As part of an International Women in Engineering Day initiative led by Aurecon, we would like to extend an invitation to you and any Y11 – 13 wāhine you know who have an interest in STEM, and might be thinking about engineering.
We are hosting an evening of guest speakers, workshops and food, so that students, teachers, tertiary educators and industry professionals can meet and network.
Attendees could meet potential future mentors, make connections to industries that have a range of job opportunities and see women celebrating and supporting each other in the engineering industry.
Our workshops will give everyone a chance to have their say about diversity in future workplaces, and add a new perspective to issues that industries are currently grappling with.
While the event will start from 5pm, we welcome school staff, parents and students from 4pm if you would like to join in a tour of the Faculty of Engineering, UoA. It is free to attend this event, and we are happy to assist with transport and parking arrangements if accessibility is a barrier.
