Student for a Day will give you an idea of what to expect when you come and study with us. Jump online and join our unique event, where you can experience what it’s like to be one of our students and get familiar with our awesome way of learning off campus, and interact with our amazing lecturers and staff.

This event revolves around our Digital Creativity Foundation Course. Covering a little bit of everything from the world of creative and digital design will help make your decision on what to do next a little easier. Immerse yourself in the creative arts community while discovering your passion for game development, post-production and visual effects for film, animation, or graphic, motion, web or mobile design. Through the delivery of foundational knowledge in each discipline, passing this course will let you to apply for our exciting degree programmes!
Please note that spaces are limited for this workshop, and you must be 15 or older to attend.
Workshop One: 1pm-3pm (NZST/GMT+12)
3D Workshop
This workshop has been designed to introduce students to 3D Modelling using Blender. An ideal workshop for students who are not sure about the world of 3D Design and are curious to learn about the possibilities this field offers for their futures. No previous knowledge necessary and students don’t need to bring anything with them at this stage. The session will be guided and supported by the Digital Creativity Foundation Faculty.
Workshop Two: 3pm-6pm (NZST/GMT+12)
Videography Workshop
This workshop has been designed to introduce students to filming and editing, using DSLR cameras and Premiere Pro. An ideal workshop for students who are not sure about the world of filming and are curious to learn about the possibilities this field offers for their futures. No previous knowledge necessary and students don’t need to bring anything with them at this stage. The session will be guided and supported by the Digital Creativity Foundation Faculty.
